Here's a girl who's all alone

under trees named for their tears

and here's a man who walks away,

fake smile hiding all his fears

Here's the dark

and there within,

she's the shame-faced 

look of sin

Here's escape 

and all it brings.

There's a guy 

who thinks he's king

Here's a world

that's full of lies

and here's the bit

inside that dies

Here is hurt

and here is loss.

There's a guy 

nailed to a cross

There is trust 

and there is truth.

Here are lost,

misguided youth

a lot of sadness here, people are not always what you think. i liked the twists and turns. some light in the last stanza, those positive forces re-emerging :)
