the you and me absurdity

the you and me absurdity

A Poem by L

I laughed and watched the world collapse,
Destroying all of worth
Then danced the form of time and space
My laugh became the earth.

I leapt along the path of past,
Shook reason by the hand,
Twisted the mighty mountain 'til
He told me why I am.

I drank the sea to quench this thirst,
Made turrets of the sky
Then turned the stars to stepping stones
We ran them you and I.

Twisted the mighty mountain 'til
He told me why I am.

Some great images here- all slightly unexpected- the last stanza was my favourite. Beautifully written ;)

Very beautiful in its brevity. I like the picture that this poem paints, and the slight rhyme scheme makes this flow nicely. Extremely well written and i cant wait to read more.
