Wrote this for a contest. The poem should have 4 lines and should rhyme. Anyway, this was fun to write. ;)

Measuring Love

Kiss me, touch me, love me, just please captivate me,

With that sweet smile of yours, I’ll be your one and only devotee.

I don’t give a damn if one day you’ll let me go and set our love free,

I’d still do anything for you, my love, even parting the red sea.

Obviously quite short, but also brimming with depth and meaning. Thumbs up (here, you may picture me with my thumbs in the aforementioned position)!

wow. this is truly a sweet and fascinating read! ^^ it reminds me of this quotation: "Love is a powerful emotion, that once it envelops you it does not depart." i think love cannot be measured by words, yet you've made a way for me to hesitate of what i believe in.. :) haha! this piece is like a love note in high school. the rhymes are really elegant, and though the poem is quite short, you did a great job in expressing your thoughts and emotions. ^_^

Unconditional love is a truly fascinating thing for me and I'm also fascinated by poems on the subject, such as this one. There are many factors that can hinder the blooming of love, that prevent it from exploding its immaculate fragrance: time, distance, absence, departure, and letting go. But true love cares not about such things but for it does not concern itself with even due reciprocation. True love persists without the expectation of getting something back. People who love with such intensity, like my idol Dante for his dear Beatrice, are truly admirable.

This is the proper attitude for love. Better to have loved and lost. I wouldn't want to lose one moment of celebration of a new love with knowing the pain that came after. Great wisdom in your poem.
