the stream of life is a poem about life, death, the earth and light
Through the earth, a small stream flows
Through small life, the small stream shows
Past dark death, a small stream goes
All bright life, the small stream knows
The stream of life, through the skies
the stream of time, past it flies
the stream of life, down it lies
the stream of time, above all eyes
The end of time the small stream spies
the end of time, the small stream dies.
Wow... such a fitting end to a beautiful poem! I loved the last two lines, and also the rhyming is exquisite, it reminds me a lot of the lady of shallott!
I love the pictures that this stream incorparates into my mind. The excellent imagery that was depicted is exhilerating! While the dying was rather ebrupt, it was very, very beautiful. Although your rhyming style for this poem could go to infinity and beyong, this poem (because you 'killed' it) has now been brought to a halt and can not be further added to.
The poem itself has an aspect that I would like to touch upon, and that is the rhyming. I said this before, but the rhyming is perfect. Nothing was forced in, everything was perfect! Although some do not seem to rhyme ('goes' and 'shows' are an example), when you say it out loud, it sounds DIVINE.
(PS, yes this IS your class mate bella. Not a crazy weirdo.)
I really like it.. it has a simple flow like the stream and I think maybe it is just fine as it is..simple and beautiful so I can not say it needs any work.
