Technology

Technology

A Poem by Flora

Passing down a crowded street,
Voices mingle in the wind.
Life is being played out.
With every cell phone call and text we send.
"LOL" and "lmbo" is the language of the day.
So many new ways to communicate.
Yet we still have less to say.
Stuck in a cyber world.
Where technology is king.
We are losing what makes us human. Connecting!!
Without Google and Bing.
No more talking face to face,
taking walks or grabbing lunch.
Now it's recipes on Facebook.
My BF broke up with me----------- feeling crushed.
So I wonder if this new age,
Is all we claim it to be.
Besides the IPad and the Smartphones,
what have we gained with technology?
