The Road to Hell

The Road to Hell

The Road to Hell

The road to hell is a wide and inviting road. With all of life's earthly pleasures lining the sidewalks. The road to hell is also paved with good intentions. I meant to go to church. I planned on getting saved. There are also many side roads or escape routes on this road.Signs like TURN AROUND, EXIT HERE QUICK, and WRONG WAY adorn the road for wayward travelers to see.

As you begin walking down this road everthing seems wonderful. You are having fun and everything is going your way. But pretty soon the tolls of sin weigh on earthly bodies. Living to fast to often leaves a body looking for peace. Some continue down the road in search of it. While others take the escape routes given and find peace everlasting.

Some think that because this road is well traveled it must be the right one. They are oblivious to the fact that they are walking towards the one place they don't want to go. Friends are made and alliances are formed. People become accustomed to seeing a familiar face there beside them.

Once you reach your destination the realization sets in that you've obviously made a big mistake. This is not where you wanted to end up at all. Some thought they were on the road to heaven. Others didn't really care but now they care to late. Once you've reached the door to hell and it opens all you can do is step inside. The realization of what your life has become is staring you right in the eyes. Fear takes over your whole body as you realize what awaits you on the other side of the door. You begin to beg, plead withy God not to make you go in. But you ignored the signs and the detours. You ignored the calls to repentance. You walked happilly along the road to hell and now you've come home. How sad that this will be your final unresting place. For you will find no peace here.

So many souls find out to late that the road they've been on is the road to destruction. Now they are faced with an eternity of torment and torture. It's easy to mistake the road to hell as the right road. It's more fun. There are more people on it. But if you look closely you will see the cracks in the sidewalk. And the shrouded figure of Satan hovering. Making sure that no one decides to leave. If you are walking down the road to hell, I advise you to find the nearest exit road and run like your life depended on it. Because in thruth it does.

The disciples asked Jesus what is the way to salvation and he replied I am the way. People now days seem to think that by believing on Him they will live an abundant life and gain gain gain worldly riches. People seek Christ with this motive and never find Him because they are more concerned with flesh rather than spirit, which is the only way to truly worship God. For Jesus said the world will hate you for my name's sake and it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Heaven....
