Enter Stage Left

A new character enters the scene

Gwen woke up in her flat. A strange sensation for her. She slept past
the seventh alarm she set for herself this morning. Her flight wasn’t 
going to leave for another 7 hours, but that didn’t stop her from
jumping out of bed, rushing to the bathroom, showering, checking herself
in her full body mirror, and dressing up. She check her cell phone. Six
hours until liftoff. She paced around her suitcases. She knew they were
packed with everything that she need. She made sure of it the night
before. The main reason she slept through all of her alarms. She sighed
and checked out the refrigerator. Nothing, she thought, or at least
nothing that she wanted to make herself down at the moment. She shut the
door and took inventory of her traveling gear. Probably all set, she
thought. She applied some makeup, found some better shoes to walk in,
checked herself in the mirror again, and took a deep breath. I have
time, she told herself, I’ll make it. She left her flat to get
breakfast.
