Little Girl

Little Girl

A Poem by Alexis L. Thompson

Little girl
Hungry, small.
Parents care
not at all.

Treated like
nothing at all.
Girl is fragile.
she does fall.

Begs for nothing
more than love.
Prayers to angels
from above.

This little girl,
pale and pink,
can only count on
what God thinks.

I wonder who that little girl is.
