Crankin'

Crankin'

A Poem by Mica L. Bennett

Hollow eyes
and sickly thin.

Shaky hands.
Quivering chin.

Glassy eyes.
Appetite lost.

Surfaced anger.
Cold as frost.

Speedy fast.
Buzzing around.

Life's a B***h
coming down.

Girl is frantic.
Girl is lost.

She fell broke
from the cost.

Killer Crank
is her drug.

Bitten by the
addiction bug.

Tootin' here and
Tweakin' there.

Life seems sweet.
Life's a dare.

a very familiar subject matter. i have been that girl buzzing around and around and the spiral was always in a downward motion. it's interesting that getting high can take you lower than you've ever been.

great job on this write.
