The AccidentA Poem by Alexis L. ThompsonThis never happened to me but many people are victims of drunk drivers everyday. Save lives. Don't drink and drive.
You promised me safety.
You promised me care. Now I'm fading fast. And I don't know where. Hazy I see crimson leaking on leather. It wasn't supposed to be this way ever. Pain pricks my spine and shoots to my head. The sight I see quick fills me with dread. I see you lay still on the red grass. Sirens get loud and arrive in big mass. This wasn't your fault. I know this is true. Come back to me. I really need you. He should have stayed home. The driver was drunk. You would still be here if he would have thunk. I miss you forever and I'll never forget. The day that you and lord Jesus had met. © 2012 Alexis L. ThompsonReviews
