A Poem by Alexis L. Thompson

Do I scare you
with the scares
imprinted
on my skin?

Thinking of the
blood I shed.
Such sorrow
considered sin.

For me it seems
an average game
I play. A release
from life alone.

I have you but yet
I have no one. Cries
behind these eyes
never to be shown.

The pain I feel
is not for you
I wish you'd
understand.

I hope you
never leave
me and you'll
always hold my hand.

I can't live this
life alone. I need
you here to keep
my heart beating.

Please, I'm asking
for your life.
To spend with
mine, I'm pleading.

well?
