Never Look Back

On sidewalks I walk

avoiding the cracks.

Smart enough now

to never look back.

Holding head high.

Smiling all the way.

"Don't worry",I say.

"Today is a new day."

Nothing can bring me down.

I won't let it be.

Block everything bad out

and let me be me.

On sidewalks I walk

avoiding the cracks.

Just reminding myself

to never look back.
