Daisy

Daisy

A Poem by Alexis L. Thompson

Daisy, daisy
small and frail.
Spineless stem
and ghostly pale.
Won't you tell
your fairytale?
Or will that make
you scream and wail?
For it's not
a fairytale
but tragic story.
A darkened jail.
Daisy, daisy
small and frail.
Is that me?
I cannot tell.
