Shattered DreamsA Poem by Alexis L. Thompsonthis is a poem my Grandmother started but could never finish. She had the first two lines and wanted me to write the rest so here it is.
Shattered dreams
fall to my feet. Making life seem bitter-sweet. Pieces are just left behind. Swept to where no one can find. And life seems less important now. Reach for the stars, I don't know how. Like glass the pieces of my dreams. Ripping apart my loosened seams. And pieces are rubbed in my skin. Mocking me so, such a sweet sin. Shattered dreams fall to my feet.
