A Final GoodbyeA Poem by YukoThe most peaceful goodbye
The sky is clear, A colorless blanket, That will cover me in my slumber. White snowflakes dance Into my outstretched palm, Warm to my numb fingers. The air is still, Without even a gentle breeze, Yet there is music, Resounding from the sky, A melancholic voice to sing me to sleep. My eyes drift shut As I utter a final goodbye And I smile Without a trace of a teardrop. © 2008 YukoAuthor's Note
