Him and You

Him and You

A Poem by Pam
"

It was very difficult, but I tried to compare my boyfriend and one of my closest friends. Which is a story for another time.

"

He and I spent some time together,

We enjoyed each other’s company and the weather.

You and I haven’t chatted in a while,

We used to always laugh and smile.

He and I went places,

Sometimes he even made funny statements.

You and I are hours away,

But I wish I could’ve made you stay.

He and I have gotten closer,

I never feel like I’m on a roller coaster.

You and I are stuck in time,

But I always wanted you to say aloud that you’re mine.

He and I went through a ton,

But in the end he thought he won.

You and I are put on hold,

But I wanted to say something bold.

He and I could never be a possibility,

But I didn't wanna show him any hostility.

You and I will be together again soon,

Just wait for the full moon.

Him and you are two different people,

But as a result, in a way you’re both equal.
