Chapter 12

            I thought about Patt's questions before answering right away. Someone knocked at the door. A nurse entered.

            "Hello," she greeted.

            "Hi," I replied confused as to what was happening.

            She clicked the pen and wrote on her clip board.

            "So, I see you have been in the hospital for a few days already. How are you feeling now?"

            More questions. Too many questions.

            I hesitated, "Um, yeah I feel better. When will I be able to leave?"

            The nurse glanced down at the clip board, "According to my records... you can leave when you're feeling one-hundred percent better," she smiled. "You could even leave right now if you want."

            I stared up at the ceiling, thinking. "Well, if it's not too much trouble. I would prefer to leave now," I decided.

            She glanced at the clip board again, "Sure."

            I got a glimpse of her name tag before she turned fully away from me. Sel, that's all I could see. Nurse Sel? No. That just sounds too weird. I figured I wouldn't have to worry much about her name, since I wasn't planning on coming back here again.
