Our Great Country (U.S.A)A Story by PamA salute to America!!!
There's more to the 4th of July then just fireworks and barbecues. It's a day about celebrating the independence of the United States of America, or freedom. The Declaration of Independence came into effect on July 4th 1776, officially separating the thirteen colonies at the time from Great Britain.
This day should not be known just as a "holiday", it has much more meaning than that. Most people only know of it by the stereotype it follows; fireworks and food. Nowadays, people have gone too commercial. Of course the subject money comes into place when the fourth of July is brought up. Remember, our forefathers fought for the right of having our independence declared. Americans take this for granted sometimes. Speaking of them, the people involved with the Declaration of Independence were: John Adams Benjamin Franklin Robert R. Livingston Thomas Jefferson Roger Sherman
