Envy

I started a poem writing challenge 2 years ago and I'm determined to finish eventually.

Look at her

Look at them

Now look at me.

They aren’t me and

are more of

what I want to be.

These thoughts poisoning my mind

like sewage in a river

contaminating the happiness I have.

The beauty in my own life

overshadowed by this constant feeling of

oh...

what do they have that I don’t.

Oh...

they seem to have it

better than me.
