Society

Society

A Poem by Pamcocoa

The drone of the day goes on
Slowly eating away at our creativities, hopes, dreams
turning us into people of a monotonous society.

I find it hard to find inspiration
hard to find something to write about these days
but I have to keep trying
or else I'll be lost in the crowd of society.

Go to school get a job start a family,
is this the life for me?
As I sit in a class uninterested,
fitting into the mold of society.

Friends of mine are graduating and it will be my time soon too,
I'll find a job and attempt to pay off my student debts,
moving forward in the process of being swallowed whole by society.

When I'm older will I be happy with my life,
will I regret the path I've taken?
Or will I regret becoming another cookie cutter zombie,
perfection in the eyes of society?

Wow a cookie cutter zombie I didn't know They had a class where you could take that subject up at school. I thought you would of really waisted your life and became a blood sucking lawyer.
