The End- Death

The End- Death

A Poem by Palmer Blu

Heart of pain that grows with sorrow

Not visualizing or being able to see tomorrow

Tie has come and the end is near

Having nothing to lose and nothing to fear

Certainty slips as you are swallowed by the mist

Disappointing forever or losing yourself in the abyss

Shameful defeat though it hasn't sunk in

Taming the beast not letting it out of the pin

Black sheep and odd ball out

Doomed to repeat the life of someone cast out

Vociferous you've grown because people can help but don't

It's not that they can't but that they won't

So a mental and emotional end- Death

And now you shiver because of a lack of mental and emotional wealth

I really love your rhyming, and how it eluded any and all corniness that can sometimes come along with rhyming poetry. Beautifully written, well done!
