Me

Me

A Poem by Palmer Blu

Ungrateful they are while I slave

A prisoner at home everyday

I live to work, sweat, to please

In return I get nothing, not even a little emotional ease

To escape is what I want, what I wish

But God has for some reason forsaken me to this

This life, for which I am damned to an eternity of depression

To go through social and physical recession

Compliant after compliant is all I hear

Never do I get even a thanks dear

But I guess that is the life of someone unimportant

The life of someone where these actions are incessant

This is probably how its meant to be

When you are living the life of lonely me
