I wish I could turn back the time

I wish I could turn back the time,
When the innocence was at its peak,
And the smile never left the lips.
When the world felt warm as mother's hug,
And close ones were not meant to leave.
When we could get things by being stubborn,
And the life was like granny's fairy tale.
When the school exams were the biggest challenge of life,
And you can complain to your mom if anyone made you cry.
When the gleaming eyes radiated happiness,
And expressing yourself was never a burden.
When the blanket was meant to keep you warm,
And not to hide inside to shed tears.

After all growing up is not too easy,
I want to return back to life that was so pleasing.

I wish I could turn back the time.....

I, as I am sure we all, can relate to this unfamiliar progression of time. It seems like we should know it well but each time it acts, we wish we could turn back time. This world is a wonder.

Growing up is easier when one comes from a loving family environment. If not, growing up can be so difficult. Being an adult is even harder than growing up at times. I believe you probably mean growing up as being an adult. When we have someone to turn to for support, like a mom, then life is so much easier. I think some parents do their children an injustice by over protecting them and, stepping in to intercede instead of letting the child deal with a situation. I'm talking teens in some cases. If we could go back and start over I'm sure many of us would make the same mistakes and some, would make different mistakes. All in all, being a kid was so much more fun than being an adult.
