TENTH

TENTH

A Poem by pal11
"

10th grade is very important in Indian Education system. elders call them a turning point of our career; we call it fun. i had written this poem for our farewell party of our 10th grade... :D

"
'work hard, it's your tenth,'
is what we've heard
since the day we passed our ninth grade.
there's gonna be no dance.
no fun, they tell so;
only study and one chance?
we don't think so!
we fight and quarrel
but all in vain;
we study to remember
who has got brains?
we attend many sessions
and get lectured by our Highness
but when we return to our sections
the thoughts run away from our senses
we understand our life beyond this
and know we all will dearly miss
our Highness, the teachers, the staff
and this building of glories
where there are treasured our childhood memories.
