Owl Wings

Owl Wings

A Poem by Britteny

Owl wings owl wings

You sweep over many things

Like people and flowers

I can forget about the 13 hours

Owl wings owl wings

This joyful song I sing

Is one of forgiveness surrender

I can forget that your not so tender

Owl wings owl wings

Your voice in my head it rings

I can forget the things you've said

Even though thoughts of anger flood my head

Owl wings owl wings

You are kind despite the hatred you bring

How you sealed my baby brother's fate

I can forget I couldn't get him back at any rate

Owl wings owl wings up above

Hear my song of forgiveness and love!

I think your perfection in everything

Even though the evil in you will stay
