Mr. Piano Man

Mr. Piano Man

A Poem by Britteny
"

A childhood idol....betcha can't guess who it's about!

"

My old piano man

I hate to retire you to my CD case

Since I was 5 I listened to you play

In a meloncholy tone so sweet

To this day I remember the first song

That graced

These still small ears

I still want to be your uptown girl

After all these years

Even though you have long since

Stopped playing my song

My old records and cassettes I play

Play and play till they are faded away

Somewhere in my mind you still preform

At that crowed smoky bar

Yes it's abandoned but you play for me

You have that old smug look on your face

Can't you see Mr. Pianoman you were happy

Though true many people don't know you

I wish you would sing again

If only for me

Your a part of my past too strong to erase

I will never forget your song or face

Mr. Pianoman
