The Rose Hips/The Meadow

The Rose Hips/The Meadow

A Poem by Britteny

Let us remember the rose hips

And the gentle butterfly tips

The meadow in which we meet

And follow only the heart's beat

It's a secret in sun light

Dancing feet and songs of might?

None of these ever to see the truth

And people probe us and ask for proof

Of our meadow full of meloncholy love

As the reporters all push and shove

We simply to them reply

Through our genuine smiles we lie

We are but close friends

Meeting in the meadow's end

For nothing but song

The they walk away...along

To leave us alone

With a love never shown
