Head Over Heels

Head Over Heels

A Poem by Britteny

By the silk of your glove

I think I am falling in love

It's so strange

That a king deranged

Can be so sensitive and kind

My better judgement is now blind

But I don't seem to care

I want to run my fingers in your hair

Laying my head upon your chest

My goodness your heart's at rest

I hear your heart pitter and flutter

As your chest vibrates as you mutter

What is that you say?

Throw all your troubles away?

I have no need to not say I will

Scents of musk and leather suit your bill

I want to stay here forever

But something tells me it's now or never

So I muster up all my nerve

As you feel my hip's curve

To say dear Jareth? Of you I'm keen

Are things quite what they seem?

You just spin and shake your head

My heart now alive not dead

Doeful hearts are now so light

That two can love at first sight
