Unfullfilled Longing

Unfullfilled Longing

A Poem by Britteny

Looking at the crook in your neck

Seeing the little kisses pecks

In sadness of a great deal

I know I will never feel

Your lips upon mine

You have been so kind

Why was I so blind?

Strickly you you are taboo

Relationships different in every hue

Yet we were meant to be

Why can't you be attracted to me?

Evert advance I mute

Knowing it would be dismissed as cute

We connect in every way

Not to boast or brag

But I love how your clothes sag

Over that delicate frame

Why am I to blame?

The way your hair covers your face

Loving you is a huge disgrace

Chasing after all that's wrong

But knowing in my heart it's where I belong

Every moment I see you I fight back the urge

My affectionate felings I do purge

To run my fingers through your hair

Oh it's just not right, just not fair!

Why do you have to be attracted to another

And for him to be your fellow brother

I am not trying to lable

I know I'm going after a fable

That might as well never come true

But I just can't seem to get over you!
