A Forbidden Fruit (Member of the New Revolution)

A Forbidden Fruit (Member of the New Revolution)

A Poem by Britteny

I look at him, a picture of a true gentleman. As he lifts his shirt I see a part of a slim ivory chest, it looks so smooth, soft...oh how I'd like to let my fingers graze over it's delicate surface, navigating each crevice. But as I think of how touchable he his. I must look upon this situation in another way, his pale skin will never be caressed by my hand. No matter how hard I advance he will remain the smae way. We have so much in common, look at all the things we could share. My heart yerns aches, to touch his hair, to feel loved under his gentle stare. His eyes that will never gaze as mine do over his. Shuts out the woman's advance. He is as blind as can be. A member of the new revolution, leaving me behind. He has other intentions, interests for his mind to attend to.  He will stay my friend forever, that won't change, but I pres on. Why can't he break the revolution's promise, change his handsome mind, then and only then would I be free to bathe in his embrace, have it mean more than just hello. Maybe ... an I love you too? But all this I cna keep on fantizising, because it's likelyhood of coming true is about as real as his eyes.
