Little Exotica

Little Exotica

A Poem by Britteny

Little exotica

She sits and she dreams

She stands and she schemes

Of a suitor who will stay

And not run far away

From her taboo view

Love in every hue

Little exotica

She's just a bit off the rocker

She's got guys who flock to her

But no one fills that empty void

All try so hard to avoid

Her strange sophisticate

Most don't get passed the first date

Little exotica

She struggles so hard

Sh's quite the card

Interesting and true

Yet she remains blue

But in some form or hue

She's inside of you

Little exotica

She wishes to be free

She's not bad you see

Not taken in overdose

But sometimes to live to coast

She can fit right into your life

Till then she can take it in strife

Little exotica

very good. i love the subject of the poem and the way you explained it.

and another note, the words life and strife, i always find myself using them and i always worry it will get old, lol i just can't seem to find other good words to rhyme that fit the subject. haha
