Taboo LoveA Poem by BrittenyIt's been so long So drawn out and prolonged Since I have written of you Probably because it's a taboo It's amazing how a love poem silly Can set your world all willy nilly Your eyes pierce my soul My passion burns like coal Your hair drapes onto your face Though I can't have you I can't erase You are the prized glass cookie jar But you are up so far Upon the shelf so high Yet I press on why Mommy must I wait? Only for her to state You'll ruin your appitite But why can't I do what feels right In France they indulge too Eating dessert before dinner taboo Yet it doesn't ruin anything Why can't I set on a wing The taboo breakers have so much fun Why away from it must I run? © 2008 BrittenyAuthor's Note
