An Actor's Show

As people converse

We both reherse

What lines we say

As if to play

On the hearts...

Of those throwing darts

Of those who show no love

We are but far and above

All the rest

Why don't we just give em' our best

A little show...

Maybe our love could really grow

Why must we put on how we feel?

Our brokenhearts already healed

It's frustrating just so

Why don't we just give it a go?

Instead of just actors on a stage

Let us turn the page

To something much stronger

Maybe it will last longer

Than a play on music and on words

Flocks of reality by the herd

Then it will be so true

No longer a play just me and you!
