Intoxicated

Intoxicated

A Poem by Britteny
"

Same poem challenge I failed prompt make a poem with each first letter spelling your name

"
Beautiful and such a surreal thing
Reacting to the feel of your touch
Intoxicates her like no other
Telling signs show on her face
Timid shy a kiss you take makes
Enormous imprints in her mind
Never ending looping around and around
You're an addicting drug
Leaving her aching for more as
You leave her all on her own
Never looking back, she questions
Why she was the fool
Idiot, she fell into his spell
Leaping right into his devilish trap
Sinister as that man may be, she
Only longs for his embrace with
No desires for anything else

The poem begins as though the speaker is lecturing some love 'em and leave 'em rake for the way he uses a particular young woman and then shifts toward the end to a picture of her virtual addiction to him. Could serve as part of the orientation material for female college freshmen. Definitely a cautionary tale.
