A Poem by misguidedpoet
"

I attempted to capture the beauty of this wonderful place but alcohol dulled my senses so this poem is a poor tribute to what was a delicious five days...this is one of my few happy poems!

"

The jeweled summer sun rises

over my transparently sapphire tent

intoxicating me with the richness of

a new day, like sweet wine

it throws rose and gold shadows over the camp

and i can feel the calm of the sleeping revelers

blinking, emerging to the surface of day

I bask

in the feel of beautiful promise and

turn my face to the watery warm sun

later, a wave of music washes over me,

cleansing

capturing me in its loving embrace.

swaying, I dance clumsily, entranced,

a rapturous smile claiming my face

I can breathe the perfumed jasmine fumes

of the chords

it makes me catch my breath

and my heart ache

the sun-drenched grass smells of hay

of comfort, of home

About
I do not know if I am a particularly good writer. Some of my writings which originate as half-scribbles in my diary are too personal/painful to post online but I shall post beginnings of poems, poems .. more..
