Goes the Clock

Goes the Clock

A Poem by Paige Who

Tic-toc goes the clock, but do you know why?

Tic-toc goes the clock, is it midnight or twelve noon high?

Tic-toc goes the clock, the clock is striking ten.

Tic-toc goes the clock, should I tell you when?

Tic-toc goes the clock, now it’s quarter past the hour.

Tic-toc goes the clock, look up at the tower.

Tic-toc goes the clock, the seconds don’t seem to last

Tic-toc goes the clock, why is it that time either goes too slow or too fast?

Tic-toc goes the clock, yet I’ve never told you why.

Tic-toc goes the clock, I guess it’s time to be true.

The clock is ticking, inside of you.
