Wet Clothes

Wet Clothes

A Poem by Paige

You've walked around your whole life with wet clothes on,
Weighted down so low.
You swam to the top of the ocean you were drowning in,
Just to be drowned in the weight of the world.

And the land isn't so bad, but your body is tired,
And your mind isn't drowning, but it is on fire.
And you hoped the flames would dry your clothes,
But now you are just chaos from head to toe.

Shivering cold from the waves of the void,
Burning through your brain waves.
Chaos is all you have ever known,
But you wouldn't change a thing.

wow, love this...dry clothes...living life honestly...being real....that is what we hope to do....but some times even in the most arid conditions...the truth is hidden in the dampness of the facade we wear.

Some people just don’t change...a lovely and clever metaphor...so nicely written.

But you wouldn't change a thing.
The change doesn't just come, you need to put in the work....
Sitting with the desire makes dreams dreams but when you arise and put in the work it becomes reality

Great poem
