Human Homes

Human Homes

A Poem by Paige

Stop making homes out of humans,
Home is where the heart is;
Inside of you beating.
What a pleasant place to be,
So alone in this world.
Forever a little girl,
Waiting for the world to show her kindness.
But kindness is weakness, you should be meaner;
Don't let the whole damn world walk over you.
I lie down like a door mat with love in my heart,
Waiting to be torn apart.
And I am home, inside of me where my heart beats,
And home is where the anger and the fear meet.
Human beings are temporary homes,
To avoid the hurt we feel when we're alone.

This is good. Kudos. I love the humans as home. As we all have/do that...out of reflex to belong, to be comforted.
