Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by Paige

I'm about moments away from slipping away,
Afraid of all the parts of me the world takes.
Too afraid to show who I really am,
Because who would even like that?
And today is just like every other day,
I'm so f*****g happy.
And tomorrow I slip into this slow madness.
Terrified of a life with no meaning,
We grow older and life has new beginnings.
But beginnings come to an end,
Forever lost inside of oblivion.
Tonight we sit in the dark,
And think of all the things the daylight refuses to see.
The darkness feels just like you and me,
Never ending, or did it ever begin?
I guess I'm just lost all over again,
This is just oblivion.
