Miss Independent

Miss Independent

A Poem by Paige

I sleep in the middle of my bed,
Sometimes I hold my own hand.
Arms wrapped around a pillow,
Pretending it has a heart beat.
Out of everyone I meet,
The only one who loves me,
Is me.

I rely on me and only me,
Can't take relationships too seriously.
Sometimes I lie awake and think,
Of what it would feel like to have someone next to me.
If I could kiss my own forehead I would,
Comfort my soul, so misunderstood.
Love is blind, and none of you can see.

Miss independent is f*****g lonely.

It would be interesting to know why Miss I is so lonely. I would say it has to do with either pain or fear. Maybe both. Interesting psychological portrait.
