Blood

Blood

A Poem by Paige

You mean not what you say,
I wish I didn't have to go another day.

"Daddy please stay", I used to say,
But now I want daddy to stay the f**k away.

Hot cigeratte breath screaming in my face,
You'd never lay a hand on my beautiful face.

But I promise your words cut deep in me like swords,
Spitting in my face your meaningless words.

I want to drain myself of all your blood,
Hang the warm bags from streets where you can see.

I want to cut your face out of family pictures and erase memories,
But your blood will always be inside of me.

Flowing endless there is no escaping the name you gave me,
I want to tear my own brain out and throw it on the pavement.

Destroy the brain you gave me,
Erase the name that betrayed me.

You can never save me,
You'll never even save yourself.

this is intense...especially impressed with the fifth and sixth stanzas...
your descriptions are cleverly creative,
