A Stranger Walks By Her Side

A Stranger Walks By Her Side

A Poem by George
"

Written Song Lyric

"

I remember how she looked when she was smiling
Oh the memory when she broke down and cried
I didn't mean to hurt her with my lying
But now a stranger walks by her side

Today she's older but still looks so lovely
Her long hair glistening in the light
I know she's happy but lord it's killing me
For now a stranger walks by her side

When I hear our song playing I feel I could die
For I hurt her and I know she'll never be mine
But when I see her my eyes fill up and cry
For now a stranger walks by her side

I wish this memory would finally say goodbye
Wish this pain inside would leave my mind
Oh it hurts just knowing how I lied
And now a stranger walks by her side

Oh it hurts just knowing how I lied
For now a stranger walks by her side

Sad, yes, but brave, honest and true . . .

To gather such deep emotion and place it forth, isn't easy, but you have mastered it, my friend.
