I Am Not Moved

I Am Not Moved

A Poem by K. Carver

Vile inclinations in your persuasions but I am not that naive. You see, the knowledge, seed, planted here within the depths of my soul know your kind all to well and, still, I am not moved. And, sir, you may think that your smile clouds and mists my sight but, sir, I am not moved. And you may sense fear but it is not for myself because sir, I am not moved. And the one you may think will break me down, can not, because I am not moved. And I may give up from moment to moment but, only for a moment, because sir, I am not moved. And you may think this broken heart will not mend but that is not true because sir, I am not moved. And as I stand before you with tears in my eyes looking through your smirky glare all I can think is how strong I will be because sir, I am not moved.

About
Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..
