Pledge

Pledge

A Poem by K. Carver

The definitions are different.
Your eyes see black and white,
but I view one race.

One world.

The equality is off center.
They lie when they say "all are equal".
Better off headbutting a bullet.

That's more truth than you'll ever know.

Our nation is ONE under God,
but we are separated a world from our neighbor.
We care nothing of our family.

No avoiding that fact.

Open your eyes!
See what I see!
Love as one!

One love.

Believe there is change.
Believe there is better.
Believe in the hope I set before you now.

Be the world He intended.

Very very good, i'm so glad that you wrote this poem because it has more truth in it than the entire U.S. congress put together, and i agree with you, i dont see black, white, hispanics, or asians, all i see are americans, nothing more, nothing less.

About
Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..

Writing
Yeah.. Yeah..
