Breakdown Of A Nineteenth Century Widow

Breakdown Of A Nineteenth Century Widow

A Poem by K. Carver
"

A woman is feeling the pressures to not go insane. She thinks she's successful in her mind, but the individuals around her think not.

"

why can't these words come together
the words im trying to say
they just wont come out
not in the right way
the rain is falling outside
the moon is shining bright
clouds are in the sky
step inside and you'll cry
join me
you'll love it
restrained with
straps
walls
a jacket
my home
come and enter
you'll love it
my mind is crazy
get out of it
leave me
you'll love it
its who
i am
who you want to be
cry me my heart and the clouded moon
eyes clear
mind wounded
hahaha
you'll love it
listen to my cries
you hear them
its raining
go outside
you'll love it
straps
walls
a jacket
come inside
see me
you'll love it
you'll love me

lots of nice imagery in this....everyone can feel trapped in there mind sometimes you have to look beyond the mirror to get a better view.... overall very well done.

About
Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..
