You Should've Believed Me

You Should've Believed Me

A Poem by K. Carver
"

When someone says something in their most serious of ways you should always listen.

"

as you stood there

there in the rain

looking at me

with so much pain

pain in your eyes

it hurt me to see it

but what could i do

i created it

it hurt me to hurt you

but you just couldnt see it

you dont believe me

believe me at all

seeing is believing

so i showed you lastnite

i lifted my sleeve

and you started to shout

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT!?"

"YOURE STUPID AS HELL!"

"i love you so much,

but i think you need help."

so the next day we drove

drove for hours and hours

until we came to that

that so desperatly devours

you said it would help

but i told you it wouldnt

so i made you believe me

by doing what i shouldnt

the next night they found me

in the tub...dead

with water running everywhere

and blood on my head

so as i looked down from heaven above

i listened when they told you

and to your shreaks and cries

but its as simple as this

you just didnt believe

A work of tragic sadness... Not to have those near see the pain and listen to what only you know is best. Thus do those left behind cry tears of loss, or tears at their own inability to see the truth?

Well writen!

Every person's rock bottom is different. And this rock bottom was death. A tragic but well written poem.

About
Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..
