Never Forget the Monkeys

Never Forget the Monkeys

A Poem by K. Carver
"

It makes me smile.

"

there once was a monkey

who lived in a tree

and each time i passed

he would look down at me

and so i look up

to see a sorrow strucken face

and so he jumps down

and lands with grace

as soon as he lands

he looks up at me

but the expression has changed

it has now turned to glee

we stand for a moment

staring at eachother

but then he jumps up

and lands on my shoulder

he pats my head

one, two, and three

as he smiles and says

"thanks for noticing me!"

This is such a cute story!

I loved the way it just flows and it's not confusing and has a great point behind it.

Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..
