Be With Me

Be With Me

A Poem by K. Carver
"

She knows it will never happen but she still has hope in the end.

"

when you pass me in the hall

i close my eyes and bite my lip

and somehow i think

this just isnt it

theres more to this

than what it seems

like some of my nightmares

that turn into dreams

and in my dreams

your always there

holding me close

and taking my cares

you take my despair

my sadness my grief

and then i wake up

and i cant go to sleep

and so i lay there

thinking of you

thinking of me

and what we could be

This was lovely. It made me really sad because I have been in this position before. It really reached my heart and I felt empathy for this person. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Over all I think it is a great poem, you might want to change the last line because it breaks the beautiful rhyme you have going it. I could be changed to "and what we could be" but that is up to you. Great Job!

About
Yes. Well. Not much to tell, so not much to read. I write poems, mostly. I'm breathing with life. I don't believe that I'm quite successful at either. I do ask one request of anyone who may read this:.. more..
