Over one-thousand years ago Ninjutsu was created to help Japanese people protect their families and freedoms. They used their understanding of nature to aid them in their self- defense. This was the history of the very first ninja. While these people have only existed in the past, the internet has come up with a question, “Who was historically better ninja or pirates?” which is annoying because some people can’t see that ninja are obviously superior to pirates. This is because ninjas have the stealth, training, and cleanliness that pirates lack.
Ninja have always been known for their ability to be sneaky and cunning. Supposed sightings of ninja have been described as being able to fly, become invisible, walk through walls, and even change form. While we all know that no one can actually do this, ninja were experts in using tricks and disguises to create the illusion of being super human. In contrast, pirates are unable to be sneaky because of their jingling of their jewelry, and bulky boots. You’d be able to hear a pirate a mile away with all the noise they make from just walking around.
Ninja also have the adequate training needed to perform their jobs. Ninja go through intense training, sometimes starting at ages 5 or 6, for their physical, tactical, and spiritual abilities. This allows ninja to master use of weapons with deadly accuracy; pirates can’t do this due to eye patches ruining their depth perception. Plus, most pirates weren’t able to have much experience plundering other ships because the chances of coming across another ship at sea are very slim. Pirates just don’t have the amount training and experience that surpasses ninjas’.
Pirate weren’t allows the cleanest people around in the past. For ninjas clothing matters, whether it’s a black outfit to blend in the night shadows, or white to disappear in the snow, appearance is always a factor ninja take into account when preparing for missions. For pirates it didn’t matter as much, the lack of access to cleanse made personal hygiene hard to maintain. With such bad living conditions much of their food would go rotten at sea, resulting in scurvy and other nutritional diseases. The pirates’ life on sea was very unsafe and unsanitary, even by 17th century standards.
Some may think that pirates are romantic and respectable people, but their wrong because, pirates were brutal thieves that would rob, kidnap, and murder, with treasure and wealth as their determination. Remember ninja have stealth, training, and cleanliness superior to pirates. Now it should be crystal clear the ways of the ninja were much greater than the barbaric pirates’.
I like how you backed up your statement about ninjas being superior. Although I am a big fan of pirates, I find ninjas very intriguing, too. I know the truth about pirates and how cruel and ugly their lives really were, but I see them as adventurous and loyal to each other. Some pirate crews were like family and they treated each other like brothers, and sometimes even sisters. I'm writing a pirate trilogy, and also working on a story about a mysterious elven warrior, who favors martial arts over any other form of self defense. I think pirates and ninjas are both cool, but I feel like I have a connection with pirates. They were considered outcasts a lot of the time, and currently I feel like a ship riding against the waves-- just like them.

I have to agree with scorpian kiss... Pirates are better. Gosh this is an old arguement. Really. Pirates are able to express themselves. Ninjas go around all day in their black annoying suits while pirates get to have the freedom of letting others know how they feel!
What is better than that?
Otherwise this is a workable arguement...
Where as I do love me some Ninjaness I must say that I find them both equally intresting.
I don't think it's so much a question of whose better. Some pirates are better then others and it is the same with Ninja's. I would suggest making your font bigger. It kinda gave me a headache trying to read it. All in all I think it is pretty good. I'm sorry to see that your other commenter finds your essay very offensive.
Keep up the good work and Power to the Ninja!
well i prefer pirates and i'm sad to see that you were ALL against pirates in here ...
Sure, pirates are not clean, but can't a dirty pirate fight for his crew as well???? the cleanliness doesn't play an important role when it comes to the question of 'who is better, ninjas or pirates?' If Ninja protects his people, i don't see why we should be against pirates protecting and defending their owns!!! each is just doing their jobs..
If Ninja have always been known for their ability to be sneaky and cunning, then Pirates have always been known for their ability to be modest, brave, wise and happy.
And do not insult their bulky boots ... A Pirate must traverse turbulent waters in order to find his booty. They must wait countless hours until the treasure has finally filled the boat. They must guard the secrets of where they pirate, yet they must realize that they must pass on information, on knowledge they have acquired through experience. It may be hard, and at times trying, but as a Pirating community we must understand that knowledge must be passed on through the generations. As long as we keep a firm leash on where this knowledge goes, we will continue to sails the seas of an endless web.
You say: "Ninja also have the adequate training needed to perform their jobs. Ninja go through intense training, sometimes starting at ages 5 or 6, for their physical, tactical, and spiritual abilities" But Pirates do not even have to train, it is IN their blood to be pirates ... they are BORN pirates ... and they have special abilities such as sneaking, or spying.
Pirates, like Ninjas, may bend and at times be broken, but they must always be respected.
