Blue Inspiration

Blue Inspiration

A Poem by Patricia
"

Storm Writing

"

It’s what I crave

It’s what is given

And what is absent

On the most beautiful

Days of their seasons

But when

The sky drastically darkens

A panicked pen scratches

Then a torrid tapping of keys

Blazing with a dark blue mood

Before neon blue, gold, and red

Sky slicing lightening ends

Before the abusive winds stop

Their temper tantrum, beating

The trees with their own limbs

Before clouds break their

Hold on one another

As violent shadowy lovers

Disappearing into the night

Before my heart slows

Before my breath shallows

Before it all ends as death

I am frantically scribbling

With ecstatic electricity

My eyes go dry blind

From the bright sun

The sky is a bland, boring, blue

With uninspired, unwritten, beauty

I leave that to you

dear Patricia... your poetry describes the Path our Country has taken. We were free to be passionate about our Constitution and Laws... and suddenly... so much has been destroyed. In our Heart we want it all back... but where do we start when so much has been taken away. The Spirit of Nature gives us Hope. softly, Pat

Such a powerful force emerges between the delivery of each line. I don't think I could say it better than Jacob did, Pat! Such a stirring account of a storm! Many blessings my friend!

"my eyes go dry blind"
Love that line and been there,
This poem is blazing with stark imagery....

like a power hitter, you tear the cover off the ball.
